Jamba Juice Adds Industry Vet David A. Pace to Board of Directors  August 21, 2012 – 03:29 pm

EMERYVILLE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jamba, Inc., (NASDAQ: JMBA), today announced the appointment by its Board of Directors of David A. Pace to the Board of Directors and to the Compensation and Executive Development Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of the Board of Directors, effective August 15, 2012.

Mr. Pace’s experiences span a wide variety of industries including consumer products, retail, entertainment, application software, professional sports and e-commerce. He is currently the executive vice president and chief resource officer for Bloomin’ Brands Inc., the parent company for Outback, Carrabba’s, Bonefish Grill, Roy’s, and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.

Mr. Pace spent the formative years of his executive career with PepsiCo Inc. in four different operating divisions of the company. He was ultimately appointed senior vice president of Human Resources for YUM! Restaurant International, and is credited with being part of the leadership team that transformed the business from the worst performing division of PepsiCo to what is now the fastest growing, most profitable division of YUM! Brands.

Folks, here is how i'm voting
1. end the state income tax. i'll vote to end it. i'm afraid the town is going to raise taxes to make up for the deficit and there's less resources to fight local towns than on state level.
2. decriminalization of pot. there's a lot of scare tactics on how pots is dangerous and such. while not a user myself, i have to try hard and be fair. i'll vote to ... whom he has nothing in common.
One of the crowd is so moved by this testimony as to yell: "I love you, Tucker!" "I love you too," he shoots back, "And I mean that in a nonerotic, but powerful way." I can't help but think that this sort of interaction is good for the personal growth of the Paultards, as Tucker will introduce them to something they've likely never experienced before: irony.

Your post about your observations of the filene's store manager in nashua, new hampshire concerned me enough to write their human resources department. not because it seemed to be an unusual circumstance, but because it happens far too often.
i spoke with the director of human resources this morning who apologized and heartily agreed that the interaction you witnessed was highly inappropri.... and the director assured me that she did not consider it an excuse.
all managers are going to be informed that this incident took place and the concern that it has caused. this is not an incident that they want repeated for any of their customers regardless of age, race or the emotional state of their employees.
i know it doesn't change what happened, but i just wanted you to know.
