More and more entrepreneurs are considering crowdfunding as the answer to their funding needs. Some have had their prayers answered and some have not. Crowdfunding is considered to be the next generation in business investment. It enables budding dragons to invest in businesses that they are interested in, entirely via an internet connection and it enables businesses to get their message across to an audience that they might not otherwise reach.

If you are a business looking for funding what do you need to do to get going with this? Well you need a compelling pitch and these days that includes a video presentation. A video sounds expensive, but can actually be organised for free via many online resources that are available. For example turns your photos and video clips into professional video slideshows in minutes. It’s fast, free and shockingly simple!

To be successful, the pitch must explain the business plan, include detailed integrated financials and answer that all important question of ‘what’s in it for me? ’ for the investor. In addition, many successfully funded businesses also offer ‘rewards’ which are essentially enticing lures, for example the product itself available at a deeply discounted rate to successful investors.

Free-market ideologues

Free-market ideologues said the energy titan's triumphs proved
them right. Now they should admit its humiliating collapse proves
they were wrong.
Enron gave generously to House Majority Whip Tom Delay, R-Texas,
who thoughtfully introduced an electricity deregulation bill. The
company, of course, was largely responsible for the grooming of
George W. Bush ...portfolio. The California deregulation disaster should have eliminated all doubts about the first of these promises; Enron's collapse has now put paid to the other.
Perhaps the real theological lesson to be learned from all this is the simple statement of relief uttered by a California Public Utilities commissioner when he learned of the great conglomerate's destruction: 'There is a God.'

Bush in bed with enron when he was texas govenor

Early last October, members of the ninth grade girls' track team and the boys' football team at suburban Houston's Deer Park High School's north campus returned from practice reporting severe breathing problems. That day, Deer Park registered 251 parts of ozone per billion, more than twice the federal standard, and Houston surpassed Los Angeles as the smoggiest city in the United States.
O...'m supporting candidates I strongly believe in personally.'
In January 1999, Enron pitched in $50,000 to help pay for Bush's inaugural bash in Austin, Texas, after he won reelection for governor. Today, the polls show that George W. Bush has a better than even chance of winning the Presidential election. If he does, it is very likely Ken Lay will be pitching in for another inaugural bash.

Expected a lot in exchange for political gifts

They called it 'the matrix,' a computer program that brought a scientific dimension to Enron's effort to seduce politicians and sway bureaucrats.
With each proposed change in federal regulations, lobbyists punched details into a computer, allowing Enron economists in Houston to calculate just how much a rule change would cost. If the final figure was too high, executives used it as the cu...k attitude,' in reference to Comedy Central's animated series populated with profane and irreverent third-graders. The idea, the executive said, was to push hard and not worry about making friends.
'The ingrained philosophy was, me first, money counts and the government should eliminate my taxes,' said another former manager. 'That's all they cared about -- what impacted them personally.'
